One cool feature of the recon is that in survival situation you can use the hat carry on short distance water like a small bucket it wasn’t design for this water will slowly drips but since this design is not with a vented top you can also filter water from debris not bacterial level but a sandy or muddy water will get most of debris out. You just hold the hat like a bucket and lift it over a cup to recuperate the clearer water.

The Sniper Boonie Hat and Jungle hat have the top vent mesh and double with a bug mesh, so you get the ventilation and save your scalp from those tiny bugs. The Sniper Boonie Hat have and over layer of mesh over the brim for better concealment that the Jungle Hat Don’t have.
